Gold is one the most conductive materials on earth. It’s unique properties make it perfect for use in everything from high-tech electronics to coating on deep-space telescope mirrors and Olympic medals to high-end architecture in gold leafing. In addition to gold’s unique properties and uses, it is an inherently beautiful metal with natural lusters and colors unlike any other material. These characteristics, in combination with its rarity, has made its value so great that we now casually refer to it as a precious metal. It makes sense that we couple the most precious and valuable of materials with the most significant of symbols worn every day to remind us of the natural love shared in marriage.
