Why We Started

A Gap in the Market

In 2013, Eric and Matt were both shopping for men's wedding bands and ran into the same wall. Every jewelry store offered the same three options: plain gold, plain silver, or plain titanium. Women had endless variety. Men were stuck.

They realized something else along the way: most men's rings sold online weren't actually made by the companies selling them. They were drop-shipped from a handful of specialty manufacturers most buyers had never heard of. The customer paid retail markup for a ring with no expertise behind the recommendation.

So they started Revolution Rings with a different model: build deep relationships with the best ring makers in the world, learn their materials inside and out, and help customers choose the right ring instead of selling them whatever's in stock.

What We Actually Do

Curators, Not Manufacturers

Revolution Rings is not a workshop. We don't melt metal or set stones. What we do is harder to find: we're product experts who have spent over a decade learning how every exotic material behaves, which makers do the best work in each, and how to match the right ring to the right person.

Every ring we sell is custom-made to order by a specialty manufacturer we've vetted personally. That includes Lashbrook Designs, Heavy Stone Rings, and Malo Bands, alongside dozens of other partners. When you order from us, your ring is built to your exact specifications by craftspeople who do nothing else.

Matt McDaniel, Co-Owner and Marketing Director. Matt handles the customer-facing side of the business: marketing, content, and the public face of the brand. He's spent over a decade studying alternative-material wedding bands and has written extensively about Damascus Steel, Meteorite, and the broader exotic materials category. Eric Platt, Co-Owner. Eric runs the operational side of the business: supplier relationships, fulfillment, and the production pipeline that keeps 58,000+ rings moving from maker to customer.
