Wood belongs in a wedding ring. Here's why.
A wood wedding ring isn't a compromise or a gimmick. It's a material choice — one that carries warmth, character, and history that no metal alone can match. Every piece of wood we use has its own grain, its own color variation, its own story. No two rings come out exactly the same.
That's the point.
THE WOODS WE WORK WITH
Whiskey Barrel Oak — reclaimed oak staves from actual bourbon barrels. The char lines, the grain, the ghost of what aged inside it — all of it ends up in your ring. If you drink whiskey, if you appreciate the craftsmanship behind aged spirits, or if you just want a ring with a story that goes back decades, this is it. Our whiskey barrel wedding rings are consistently one of our most requested styles.
Hawaiian Koa — one of the rarest and most visually stunning woods in the world. A deep reddish-brown grain with natural chatoyance — it shifts and shimmers as light catches it. Native to Hawaii, tightly regulated, and unlike anything else we work with.
Redwood — ancient, California-grown, warm reddish tones with a tight grain. A quieter wood than koa but deeply beautiful in person.
Padauk — vivid orange-red from Africa. Bold and dramatic against a black metal band. If you want wood with color, padauk delivers.
Bocote — dark brown with dramatic black grain striping. One of the most visually complex woods we use.
Bloodwood — deep crimson red. Dense, rich, and striking against Black Zirconium or Titanium.
Custom wood options available on request — if you have a specific wood in mind, ask.
THE METAL UNDERNEATH
The wood inlay sits inside a metal outer shell — which is where the durability lives. The outer band is what your ring is actually made of. The wood is inlaid flush with the surface, sealed, and protected.
Our most popular combinations for wood wedding rings:
Black Zirconium + Whiskey Barrel Oak — the deep permanent black of the zirconium makes the warm grain of the oak glow. Our single most requested wood ring combination.
Black Titanium + Hawaiian Koa — koa's red-brown warmth set against lightweight black titanium. Clean, distinctive, and lighter than you'd expect.
Damascus Steel + Bocote — two patterned materials. The forged pattern in the Damascus plays against the striped grain in the bocote. Visually complex in a way that rewards a closer look.
Titanium + Bloodwood — silver and crimson. Simple contrast that lands hard.
WHISKEY BARREL WEDDING RINGS
Our bourbon barrel wedding bands deserve a moment of their own.
The oak comes from actual bourbon barrels — the same barrels that held whiskey for years before being retired. When we slice into them, the char lines from the barrel's interior are still visible. The grain is stained with the history of what aged inside it.
For men who love whiskey, work in the industry, or just appreciate materials with a story, a whiskey barrel ring is in a category of its own.
