Buying Decisions
Production time is not the same for every ring. Classic gold and tungsten bands typically run about 3 to 4 weeks, while alternative-metal and inlay designs like titanium, black zirconium, Damascus, and meteorite run closer to 5 weeks, plus a few more days to ship either way. The part couples usually forget to budget for is everything that happens before that clock even starts. Most are safest beginning the whole process at least 6 to 8 weeks before they want the ring in hand.

One
Once your size is confirmed and your order is in production, the real answer depends on the specific ring, not one number for the whole catalog. A classic 14K gold band and a tungsten design both run about 3 to 4 weeks of production. A titanium band, a black zirconium band, a Damascus band, and a meteorite inlay all run closer to 5 weeks. Every product page carries its own delivery estimate, and that number is the one to trust, not a single figure repeated across every ring, including this post.
Production also runs longer if you are sending in your own materials to be used in the ring. After production, shipping adds a few more days. Standard US shipping runs 3 to 5 business days from Utah, and every order ships insured.
Two
Because your ring is not scheduled for production until we know exactly what size to build it in, and you do not need to have that figured out before you order. When you check out, choose “Send me a Ring Sizer Kit First” instead of guessing a size. That keeps it one order rather than two: the ring itself is locked in, sizers ship first, generally the next business day, and they cover US sizes 5 to 16 including most half sizes. Sizers ship free specifically because they are part of a ring order. Ordered on their own, without a ring attached, they are not free.
From there, wear the sizer for a while and test it on and off at a few different points in the day, since your finger changes size with temperature and activity. This step has no fixed timeline of its own, and it runs after your ring order is already placed rather than before it, which is also why it is easy to forget to leave room for when you are counting backward from the wedding date. Once you confirm your size with us, production on the ring you already ordered is scheduled.
Three
If your order is time sensitive, a Rush Order upgrade is available as a paid add-on on some rings, and choosing it also upgrades US shipping to a 2-day Priority option as part of the fee. It is not offered everywhere: titanium, black zirconium, Damascus, and meteorite designs carry a Rush option, while a classic gold band or a tungsten design typically does not. Check the specific product page rather than assuming rush will be there when you need it.
Work Backward From The Date
Four
Add it up and the fastest realistic path, from the moment your size is locked in to the ring landing on your porch, runs about 4 weeks for a quicker design like gold or tungsten, and closer to 6 weeks for an alternative-metal or inlay piece. That does not include the time it takes to decide on a size in the first place, or the time it takes to actually decide on a material, width, and finish if you have not already.
Our own take, not a guarantee, just the math laid out plainly: give yourself at least 6 to 8 weeks from the day you start the process to the day you want the ring in hand. That leaves comfortable room for ordering sizers, wearing them for a few days, confirming a size, and absorbing a design that happens to run on the longer end of made to order. If you are inside that window already, a Rush Order upgrade may still get you there. If you are inside two or three weeks, call or message us before you order anything, so we can tell you honestly what is realistic for the specific ring you want.
The short version
Order the ring, not just the sizers
Production does not begin until your size is confirmed, but that does not mean you should wait to order. Place your ring order with the sizer-first option, then shop with 6 to 8 weeks of runway if you can.
Five
Pick your ring and place the order today, choosing “Send me a Ring Sizer Kit First” on the size selector if you have not settled on a size. Do not order sizers as their own separate purchase and plan to come back for the ring later. That turns one order into two, adds a wait in between, and means the sizers are no longer free. Browse the ring builder or the full collection, confirm rush eligibility on whatever catches your eye, and place one order that covers both the ring and the sizer kit.
Timing Questions
How long does it take to get a custom wedding ring?
It depends on the specific ring. Classic gold and tungsten bands typically run about 3 to 4 weeks of production, while alternative-metal and inlay designs run closer to 5 weeks, plus 3 to 5 business days to ship either way. Always check the delivery estimate on the exact product page rather than assuming one number applies to every ring.
How far before the wedding should I order rings?
At least 6 to 8 weeks is a comfortable window, covering time to confirm your size, complete production, and ship, with room to spare if a design runs long.
Can I rush my ring order?
On some rings, yes. A Rush Order upgrade is available as a paid add-on with 2-day Priority shipping, but it is not offered on every product. Check the specific product page rather than assuming it will be there.
Why does production only start after my size is confirmed?
Because each ring is made to order in the exact size it will be worn, rather than pulled from pre-made stock, so nothing can be built until that size is locked in.
What if I'm not sure of my ring size yet?
Order your ring now and choose “Send me a Ring Sizer Kit First” instead of a printable chart or a guess. That keeps it one order instead of two, and it is the only way the sizers ship free. Ordered on their own, without a ring attached, sizers are not free.
